Agonizing bug - after the script which converts n.n.n to m.m.m, I pasted in the missing DWCAS macro from 7.1.0 - AND FORGET TO CHANGE THE VERSION NUMBER. Result is that DWCAS was still broken for GCC >= 4.1.2 and < 4.7.3. I do not have access to this compiler version range on x86_64, so it was not possible to test the fix, which is why it wasn't detected before release.
